All around you are the beautiful fine sandy beaches of the Côte Sauvage, forests and cycle tracks, the port of Royan and the villages of Palmyre and Les Mathes.
The Charente Maritime, a part of South West France, enjoys a pleasant climate with the highest number of sunshine hours on the Atlantic coast.
The campsite is located in a beautiful region with many excellent destinations for day trips nearby: Bordeaux to the south and Nantes to the north, La Rochelle and Rochefort nearer at hand, the Arvers peninsula, La Coubre Point, the Gironde Estuary, Bonne Anse Bay, the Côte Sauvage and la Seudre, the Pointe Espagnole and of course the islands, d’Oléron, de Ré, île Madame and the île d’Aix. |
There are also many leisure destinations nearby.

With SNCF stations at Royan and Rochefort, the airport at St Agnan, taxis, and the carabus service , getting to our campsite is easy.. You can also enjoy visits to la Palmyre zoo, the Aquarium at la Rochelle, the Royal Ropeworks Museum, the site of the reconstruction of the frigate Hermione at Rochefort, the oyster parks and the oyster farming villages. |
